TO THE WOMAN OF WORTH, (YOU)

This advocacy is born out of a heart that is passionate to witness a generation where every woman is well-aware of her worth in a holistic point-of-view: physically, emotionally, socially, legally and most of all, spiritually and Biblically.

In a world where women experience inequality, violence and discrimination, this advocacy aims to raise up Christ-Empowered Women, who live to empower her home, her husband, her children, her ministry and career, her generation and her nation.

This advocacy believes that this is her time because she is PRISCILLA TODAY.

WRITER DIARIES: 12 Acts of SELFIE-shness

SELF-EXPRESSION is now the most normal phenomenon that happens online....but let this serve as a reminder for all of us NOT go overboard, so that we all may live a happy peaceful life in the virtual world of social networking.
SELFIESH #1:THE RECORD BREAKING SELFIE ALBUMS

Oh, another Instagram selfie? I love how you look the same everyday - Oh, another Instagram selfie? I love how you look the same everyday Condescending Wonka

I wouldn't want to be someone who'd regularly post albums entitled "I'm so Vain" "Vanity part 2" "Vain 3" (ano to trilogy?) or "Cam-whoring" "Killing Boredom" with 178 photos per album all of the same face with the same smile, same angle, and same background taken at the same hour. Maybe one or two selfie/vanity albums of it is a-okay, but regularly posting selfie albums may be too much?

SELFIESH #2:THE PARINIG KING/QUEEN
We understand there are times we all get into conflicts with other people. But there are just those kinds of people who just love bashing their enemies online. Whether you are wrong or right, publicizing your fight only puts you in the wrong! Can't you just face the person and not Facebook the person?

SELFIESH #3:THE "I DISAGREE/I-KNOW-IT-ALL" NOVEL-LONG COMMENTER

So someone posted about something that you might not agree on. Are you sure you really going to hit the enter button of your novel-long opinion in the comment box? Maybe if it's a healthy debate, then by all means go ahead, but if you are just going to make that person look bad and stupid in front of his/her online friends, just so you could sound like the smarter one, then back off! Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If you still insist, there is a thing called Private Message.
Sometimes I wonder, how come know-it-alls don't know how much they are annoying?

#SELFIESH 4: THE FISHERMAN

Yeah, they fish compliments too much that it's already quite obvious. Picture this. A girl posts a photo of her looking really sexy and fit in a bikini at Boracay with that envy-worthy abs and then she captions it: "Feeling fat "
And ta-daaaa, floods the "No-you're-not-even-fat-at-all-you-are-sexy-hot-beautiful-gorgeous-etc" comments.
Girl, if you wanna fish, the ocean is in Boracay, not in Facebook. Okay?

SELFIESH #5:THE HIGH-BLOODED MAMMAL
How I Feel About Everybody

So much angst--this one loves posting statuses and pictures of complaining how bad the economy is, how cruel the government is, and how her friends are all made of plastic. Sometimes it's okay to speak up and complain about what needs to be complained, but if all your posts are like that--hmmm, better get a doctor and check if you've got high blood.

This one appears to just hate the world through his/her posts and sometimes you find yourself hiding your posts from him/her 'cause you know his/her fangs and horns are ready to disagree with you via long FB comment (refer to SELFIESH #3)

SELFIESH #6: OVER (SHARED) ACHIEVER

It's perfectly okay to be proud of yourself. But I guess, we've already been told the fine line between being proud and bragging....
Have we?

SELFIESH #7: THE KADA-UTOT REPORTER
"Zzzzz"
"Feeling sleepy"

"Up "

"What to watch"
"Now Watching: A Walk to Remember"
"Getting popcorn. Yum
"Shane West hihihi"
Everything they do is breaking news. Maybe they can do that on Twitter, but Facebook is surely not the place to do so.

SELFIESH #8: KWENTO NI LOLA BASHER

Oh where do I begin with this? Rude people who love prying on other people's lives dominate the online world. They just always have something to say even if they don't even have anything to do with you. They. Ughh. Just need to go. AWAY.

Dont Suck At Facebook #376: Dont Tag People In Pictures Of Random Things

People who tag all their three thousand friends in a selfie or in a picture that doesn't concern anyone but the tagger. Please no.

SELFIESH #10: NEGA-MAN

Drama Kings and Drama Queens online. I think we can all name at least one (--or ten!) They just love broadcasting how their "sad" life is, constantly updating you about his/her own broken heart and how "life isn't worth living" and how people hate him/her and that he/she "doesn't care" and not to mention, that simple status written as "Ugh!" that magnets a dozen curious "what happened?" comments. Well, cryers gonna cry.

I (Read loudly: HATE HATE HATE) being tagged by other people in self-taken pictures in bathroom/bedroom mirrors usually being topless showing off their abs and all. I mean come on. That's too cheap and self-absorbed and way too off. REMOVE TAG. DELETE FRIEND. BLOCK.

SELFIESH #12:THE SLAM-DRUNKS
rock.rapgenius.com
"That was such an epic fail," sings Katy Perry. And FAIL it is indeed. So you like going bars and parties..hmm, maybe that's "society-ly" okay but do you really need to post pictures of you drunk? That photo may appeal to some and may make you look "cool" to others, but generally it looks childish, immature and unprofessional. Think of your employers, who was just about to call you and tell you you're hired but decided to investigate your FB profile for a while. Talk about getting fired even before getting hired.

SO HOW DO WE DEAL WITH THEM?
