TO THE WOMAN OF WORTH, (YOU)

This advocacy is born out of a heart that is passionate to witness a generation where every woman is well-aware of her worth in a holistic point-of-view: physically, emotionally, socially, legally and most of all, spiritually and Biblically.

In a world where women experience inequality, violence and discrimination, this advocacy aims to raise up Christ-Empowered Women, who live to empower her home, her husband, her children, her ministry and career, her generation and her nation.

This advocacy believes that this is her time because she is PRISCILLA TODAY.

REAL TALK: What time is the Right Time?

"In the right time"

"When the time is right"

“In His time”

However you choose to say it, we all kind of end up impatiently groaning at the taking-forever act of waiting—from grumbling through the traffic lights, complaining in MRT lines (or should it still be called a line?) to praying for the end of sorrow or the fulfillment of success.  Especially now that we have come to a point in society or time where almost any information we want, can be acquired or Google-d in just a matter of seconds (probably depending on how strong your Wi-Fi is), also where communicating is as quick as real time, no matter how far the distance is from one point to another, thanks to FB or Twitter or texting or WeChat or Viber or Line or Email and the list goes on and on and on…and on—unlike the snail mail era where it takes almost a month for the letters to be sent!

We also even live in a credit card philosophy that says: "Get it now. Pay later."—that is pretty much like "Go for it now. And let’s see the consequences later." Not such a good value.

In a world full of ‘instant,’ it feels as though
the more technology advances, the more people’s ability to wait diminishes.  Indeed, patience is regrettably becoming a rare quality in our generation. How often do we complain when something doesn't happen in the schedule and in the way we had in mind? Or when some unexpected obstacle hinders us from moving forward?

I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”
The Lord is good to those, whose hope is in Him,
To the one who seeks Him
It is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord
Lamentations 3:24-26

As Christians who value God’s plan and purpose for our lives, patience is an important characteristic that we should cultivate in ourselves. No one was ever born with ‘patience’—classic example is a newborn baby who wants milk NOW, who needs a diaper-change NOW, who wants the toy NOW and if they didn’t get it, they cry. Patience is something we learn later on in life. It is a spiritual fruit that ripens in time and is beautiful when it is nurtured.

Though we can’t deny that waiting is the most tiring thing to do—God has a reason for your waiting and it’s surely for your own good.  Waiting encourages maturity as it develops the character of endurance and self-restraint. Waiting develops and deepens your fellowship with God if you choose to trust Him and soak everything in prayer. I think it’s also important mentioning that waiting makes something you waited for truly WORTH IT!

God is never late. He is always on time. Keep the faith. You’ll be fine.
It rhymes!!!—OK. Anyway.

(Written this while impatiently waiting in the MRT line that extends to the inside of Farmers’ Mall. CRY. On the way to work!)
